What is a Sound Desk?

A sound desk, also known as a mixing console or audio mixer, is a device used to control and adjust the sound of various audio sources, such as microphones, musical instruments, and playback devices. It allows you to adjust each source's volume, tone, and other audio settings and combine them to create a balanced and pleasing sound for recording or live performances. It's like a control panel for sound, helping you make different audio sources sound good together.
What do Generators do in events?

Generators provide electrical power to events, ensuring that lights, sound systems, and other equipment can function even in locations without access to standard electrical outlets.
What different Marquee types are there?

There are several event marquee types, including frame marquees (with a metal frame), pole marquees (supported by poles), stretch marquees (made of stretchy fabric), and pop-up marquees (easy to set up).
What kinds of events can we organise?

What is a sound system in basic terms?

A sound system is a set of interconnected audio components, including speakers, amplifiers, and sources (such as audio players), designed to produce and reproduce sound for various applications, such as music playback, public address, or home entertainment.
What does a Microphone do?

A microphone is a transducer that converts sound waves into electrical signals. It captures acoustic vibrations and transforms them into an analogue electrical representation, which can then be amplified, recorded, or transmitted for various applications like audio recording, communication, or sound reinforcement.
What can having a DJ at your event do?

A DJ can really change the atmosphere of the event, reading the vibe and energy to get everyone dancing and creating memories listening to their favourite genres.
How does silent disco work?

Silent disco is either two or three channels with different music on each channel either being played by a DJ or playlist. You all put a separate pair of headphones on and choose which channel you would like to listen to. This is a sensible way to keep the party going once the music needs to be turned down.
What is a IEM system?

An IEM (In Ear Monitor) allows artists to hear themselves whilst playing to a crowd at a normal hearing level.
